FOTD: Warm brown tones for Father’s Day

Not that it is a reference to Father's Day in any way -- it just happened to be what I wore when I had dinner with my dad. Pictures after the break:

Full face, in shade

Full face, in sunlight

To create this look, I primarily used the Sleek palette in Storm by iDivine, and a few other products. Here's an overview:

For the eyes, I used a waterproof shadestick from Gosh in Love That Brown as a base. I used an Eye Kabuki brush by Everyday Minerals to apply the third colour of the top row in the Storm palette all over (eyelid, crease to just under browbone).

I then applied the first colour, bottom row in the outer V and crease using a Dome Blending Brush by EM, as well as some of the first colour, top row in the inner corner and inner 1/3 of the eyelid using a flat eye shadow brush.  (No link 'cause it was some cheap eBay brandless brush set.) Then I added a bit of the second colour, top row to the brow bone using the Eye Kabuki for a nice highlight.

Using an angled liner brush (same cheap brush set as the flat brush), I used the first colour on the bottom row again, this time on my lower lash line, as well as the black in the lower right corner on my upper lash line. I also used the same brush with a bit of the fifth colour, bottom row as an eyebrow definer.

To finish off the eye part of the look, I applied some mascara (Xtra Black Volume by Etos) and some eyeliner to my lower waterline (Automatic Kohl Pencil in 001 by Etos).

For the lips I applied a mixture of Everyday Minerals Multi-Intensive Concealer and Taxi London lip gloss as a nude, mostly matte (but slightly sticky due to the lip gloss) base. (The lip gloss is some nude-ish brown shade, but I'm not sure which one because the name has rubbed off.)

I then applied a bit of eye shadow from the Storm palette over it -- the sixth colour in the top row, and then a bit of the fifth colour, top row and first colour, top row as a highlight. Please note that if something's meant to be used as eye make-up, it usually hasn't been tested to be food grade safe, so use on your lips at your own risk.

So that finishes up the lips as well! I wore a little bit of Email Me blush by Everyday Minerals with this and was all set to go out :)

I just noticed that in the close-up pics, you can really spot my freckles :P
